In-place Soil-Cement

From the earliest versions of 6.1 IC, soil-cement has been included as a layer that could be used to construct road surfaces. Its use has become common today due to its cost-effectiveness for building heavy-traffic roads and its high bearing capacity compared to roads composed of granular layers and thick asphalt mixtures.

The quality of the material with which soil-cement is manufactured and the prescribed controls on execution ensure the quality of the final product and the durability of the roads built with it.

Soil-cement is normally used as a sub base for other materials treated with cement, or as a base layer for other asphalt layers. In the latter case it provides structural resistance to the road.

Our improving understanding of material treated with hydraulic conglomerates, the evolution of current machinery and the experience of our construction personnel make it possible to apply soil-cement to any kind of road on site.

We have proven that when properly manufactured we can obtain an even higher quality of soil-cement in-place than in-plant.

TRABIT provides all the experience of its Technical Department to provide guidance on any technical or economic aspect of the in-place soil-cement technique.
